Announcing Anu Gupta as a Mind & Life Institute Fellow
I am so thrilled to announce that among all the other blessings 2022 brought, it also brought me a formal induction as a Mind and Life Fellow. This is an incredible honor. I couldn't be more humbled to be amongst the scholars and advocates who inspired my research and passion for the past decade.
The Mind & Life Institute (MLI) is the leading global movement of scholars that are moving the needle in contemplative sciences. MLI has chosen to recognize me based on the original research I've led and authored around breaking bias -- the work that has, of course, culminated in the PRISM toolkit and in the product portfolio we've now brought to hundreds of organizations.
As you likely know if you've found your way here, the core of my life's work lies at the intersection of mindfulness and breaking bias -- I truly believe that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are inseparable from mindfulness and wellness. We cannot be truly well (as people or as communities) without justice and inclusion.... and, of course, we cannot recognize justice or equity without ensuring true wellness for all.
Because of this intersection, it feels like a dream come true to accept and celebrate this Fellowship!
What does this mean for you?
If you're interested in helping me celebrate this immense honor, there are two things that come to mind for me:
1) Spend some time with my free March meditation on mindful breathing. This meditation is meant to bring us back into mindful relationship with our closest and oldest friend -- our breath -- and I cannot imagine a more rooted way to celebrate this honor!
2) If you'd like to share the work that led to this honor with your own workspaces and communities, I'd love for you to reach out to us! Send an email to info@bemorewithanu.com and we'd love to begin a conversation with you about how this work can translate to your workplace.
In any event, I'm so grateful for the support of my community -- and if you're reading this, that certainly includes you!
Thank you for helping create a community and container that allows me to do this work in the first place, and to bring it to scale to organizations in the hopes of achieving my great dream: ending racism (and all other forms of -isms) in our lifetimes, together. #LetsDoIt!
